On a coast of the south-eastern Mediterranean, the village of Amorfo has created its own unique history. Centuries ago, the village was founded by two different groups seeking refuge in this isolated valley.
Half of the settlers were descendants of saints, who came to this refuge from a prophecy that foretold a land where they could live in peace and practice their art of living in their own way. They were psycho-healers and humble people dedicated to peace, a peace both inner and outer, spirituality and service to others. Respected for their selflessness, they laid the foundation of the village, building temples, low houses and communal institutions that promoted learning and compassion.
The other half consisted of rebels and revolutionaries seeking respite from an era of political turmoil and oppression. These individuals were hardened by conflict, valuing independence, equality and justice above all else. They settled in the same valley,as they defected, seeking a place to recover and build a new society free from tyranny and inequality from scratch. They brought with them the anarchist spirit of disobedience, communal living and an unwavering belief in the power of the people.
Initially, tensions simmered between the two groups, as their ideologies clashed and their histories diverged. Yet, over time, a remarkable transformation occurred. They recognized the strength in their diversity, and rather than allowing differences to divide them, they learned from one another. The saints taught compassion, forgiveness, and the importance of spiritual growth, while the guerrillas imparted resilience, self-reliance, and the pursuit of equality.
Their harmonious coexistence bore fruit in the village's unique culture and practices. They developed a society where communal values blended with spiritual devotion. They established a governing system that valued consensus and fairness, where decisions were made collectively but with the wisdom of the spiritual leaders guiding them.
This mixture of ideologies led the culture of the village to new quests in the artistic field. Through the effective randomness after the union of many regularities , the artistic tradition of the village, the search for the divine element extended to anthropocentric, zoomorphic and biocentric art.
Though the world outside remained tumultuous, Amorphus stood as a testament to the possibility of coexistence, proving that even the most divergent of backgrounds could find common ground and build a thriving community together. Their story echoed through generations, a reminder that unity in diversity was not just a dream but a lived reality in their cherished village.

Nowadays, although the signs of time, abandonment and lack of resources are more than obvius in the village, there is a return of the young again. People who want to live their lives simply and in harmony with nature are gradually coming and making families in the village. Of course the price of abandonment and the lack of resources is high, but we can say that Amorphous is a realistic utopia for people who are looking for something different than economic prosperity and technological fulfillment of their needs.
Amorphus remained a beacon of hope—a testament to the enduring power of unity amidst diversity. Their story echoed across generations, a reminder that regardless of backgrounds or beliefs, it was possible to forge a shared destiny built on respect, understanding, and the willingness to learn from one another.
